Show: "Caffeine & Carburetors" —

& Carburetors" is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts.
They meet at "Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee" in New Canaan,
CT six times year to enjoy cars, trucks, and motorcycles and share
them with like-minded gear heads, friends, and family in and around
Connecticut and New York. Although the group has a tendency to lean
towards sports cars, the emphasis is on foreign sports cars.

Anniversary Exhibitions" — Fairfield CT
Fairfield Museum and History Center is presenting an ambitious series
of exhibitions and programs to commemorate Fairfield’s 375th
Exhibitions include: "Creating
Community — Exploring 375 Years of Our Past".
This new, hands-on exhibition invites visitors to explore the history
of Fairfield and its region for nearly 400 years.
Up in Fairfield — Memories and Milestones" through
October 5th. The museum’s popular regional
photography exhibition features iconic images of Fairfield with
rare mementoes from high school days and a community wall of prom
pictures from over the decades.
Back and Forth — Imagery by Artist Miggs Burroughs"

Point Market" — To the Trade
Point Market" is one of the largest home furnishings industry
trade shows in the world. The market, open during spring and fall,
encompasses 180 buildings in the downtown showroom district of the
city of High Point, North Carolina. It attracts more than 75,000
home design professionals each year. The show runs six days, Saturday
through Thursday. Market dates for 2014 are April 5th through 10th

at the Mansion" — Norwalk, CT
at "The Lockwood Mathews Mansion" will focus on "Ghostly
Sighting Tours" and a "Haunted Basement Tour" from
Wednesday, October 12th to Friday, October 31st from 12:00 pm to
4:00 pm. Included with the tours is a talk about the history of
the house when it was a private residence between 1868 and 1938.
Visitors may encounter a ghost or two who is haunted by those memories
and walks through the first and second floors of the Mansion during
tour hours. On the "Haunted Basement Tour", guests will
have the rare opportunity to see the dark, civil war era underbelly
of the building which will be retrofitted to look like a spine-chilling
maze with lighting, playacting, and frightfully fun props. General
admission is $20.

under the big tent on Veteran's Green in downtown Westport, CT for
"Biergarten on the Green". Sample some of the finest,
award-winning local, national, and international craft and micro
brews. A mini-mug will be provided for tastings and seasonal foods
will be available for purchase. The food experts from CTBites will
present a line-up of local chefs demonstrating how to pair foods
with your favorite beers. The Zany Oompah Band will be back performing
all your favorite waltzes, polkas, and beer-drinking songs for sing-along
and dancing. Tracht, lederhosen, dirndls, kilts and other traditional
attire is encouraged. This event is usually held in October from
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
